Invented by Galfer in the early '90s, Galfer Wave® Rotors were designed to solve the problem of water and mud on brake rotor surfaces of trial competition motorcycles. As Galfer developed the design, they discovered an added benefit: the brake system was running cooler.
Made of Galfer's proprietary, non-recycled, high-carbon 420 stainless steel/8 composite. Laser cutting (not stamped like most others) leaves a precision cut while simultaneously heat-treating the rotor edge. Double disc-parallel grinding to assure perfect parallel flatness.
Heat-treated to each specific application to prevent warping.
Each design is CAD-CAM and tested with a stress analysis program, as well as dyno/real life-tested prior to being offered on the market.
