- For the early generator Harley-Davidson models (1936-1969), the adapter fits directly into the oil pump replacing the oil pressure sending switch.
- For the later Harley-Davidson Shovelhead and Big Twin Evolution alternator engines 1970-Later, the adapter replaces the top end feed screen plug found on the engine block.
